Steve Smith

Steve is an experienced negotiator with over 24 years experience in the Investment Management industry with Walter Scott & Partners (a boutique equity portfolio management firm). For the last 15 years, Steve’s primary responsibility was to negotiate all fee and commercial arrangements for the firm’s global client base. This involved creative proposals for new business, revisiting existing arrangements and discussions around increasing fees. Outgoing by nature, Steve is a very effective communicator. 

In addition, he built out a solid governance structure and pricing policy to ensure compliance with best fee clauses and to maintain pricing integrity across the client base.

Away from work Steve enjoys an active lifestyle with an animal loving family. Steve also devotes time to charitable work and is the current Chair of the Hibernian Community Foundation and is a Trustee of ‘The Big Match’ charity.
